Hit Movies, Award Nominees, 3D Titles, Many Great Movies the Same Day as DVD and More Premiere in January 2011

New York, December 21, 2010 - All the folks who got new 3D TVs for gifts this season will be able test them out in January 2011 when cable's Movies On Demand (MOD) presents four hit films in 3D. Plus, as "Awards Season" approaches, MOD viewers already have On Demand access to many of the hottest films which were just nominated. Not only are many new films on cable's MOD schedule the same day as DVD, but viewers will also find an array of indie gems that they might have missed in the theatres. All the films listed below and many others are at viewers' fingertips through the cable remote, with no planning necessary, no DVDs to return, late-fee worries...and no driving on icy roads!

The 3D titles premiering in January 2011 are: "Shrek Forever After," "Despicable Me," "Alpha and Omega" and "Saw: The Final Chapter."

Digital cable is already showcasing the most talked about movies just nominated for several high-profile awards. The following Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award nominees are available right now On Demand; "Inception, "The Kids Are All Right" and "Winter's Bone." Other Golden Globe nominees now playing; "How To Train Your Dragon, " "Toy Story 3, " "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" and "Easy A." Golden Globe nominees coming in January include "Despicable Me," and "Red." We will keep you posted of other nominees in the coming months.
Below is a selection of films premiering on cable TV's Movies On Demand* platform in January, 2011. All are offered in both standard and high-definition. These are just a few highlights from the schedule of new titles this month, their premiere dates on MOD, ratings, genres and cast.

7. "Despicable Me" - Premieres January 6, (5 Days Before Netflix or Redbox), PG, Animated, Steve Carrell, Jason Segel. (Also in 3D). Golden Globe nominee.

8. "Dinner For Schmucks" - Premieres January 7, PG-13, Comedy, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell.

9. "Case 39" - Premieres January 7, R, Horror, Renee Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland.

10. "Alpha and Omega"- Premieres January 11, (Same Day as DVD), PG, Animated, Hayden Panettiere, Justin Long. (Also in 3D).
