iN DEMAND ANNOUNCES NBA LEAGUE PASS HALF-SEASON OFFER
AND FREE ONE WEEK PREVIEW FOR CABLE CUSTOMERS STARTING JANUARY 18TH
NEW YORK, Jan. 18 2010 - At the halfway point in the NBA season, iN DEMAND announces a week-long free preview of NBA LEAGUE PASS, the NBA's subscription package of out-of-market games on digital cable. The free preview is available on cable systems around the country from January 18-24. Basketball fans hungry to see the rest of the games in the regular season can order NBA LEAGUE PASS for a reduced price starting Jan 18.
NBA LEAGUE PASS is the ultimate destination for NBA fans to follow their favorite teams outside of their local market, and stay up to date on NBA news through the latest innovations. The package provides customers with up to 40 live out-of-market games per week across 10 channels. The half-season package is $99 or four installments of $24.75.
This season NBA LEAGUE PASS includes a wealth of creative and free enhancements, including game replays, dual feeds, a mosaic channel, broadband access, a stats channel and HD games.
Digital cable customers receive two new NBA LEAGUE PASS enhancements this season:
SAME-DAY REPLAYS: For the first time this year, the package re-airs each game beginning approximately one hour after the final buzzer so that fans can see NBA action they might have missed. Each game is replayed in its entirety and repeats continuously overnight and the next day, on the same channel, until the following day's live matchups begin.
DUAL FEEDS: New to the package on digital cable this year is the innovative dual-feed telecast, which delivers home-team and visiting-team announcers. For select games, iN DEMAND delivers both local market broadcasts of the same game so that fans can choose which telecast they want to watch.
Returning NBA LEAGUE PASS features include:
FULL-TIME, MULTI-SCREEN MOSAIC: Cable fans continue to receive the popular rotating mosaic of multiple screens that give simultaneous snapshots of all the live-action games being played around the league, along with scores, time clocks and channel locations. The NBA LEAGUE PASS full-time multi-screen mosaic is on the first channel of the system's package lineup, exclusively on digital cable.
NBA LEAGUE PASS BROADBAND ON NBA.COM: This feature allows package subscribers to watch the NBA LEAGUE PASS games live online at NBA.com. It is free to digital cable package subscribers once their subscription is verified. Complete verification instructions and details are available at: www.nba.com/leaguepass
STATS CHANNEL: The NBA LEAGUE PASS Stats Central is a live source for scores, statistics, game previews, game recaps and schedule information. This can be found on the second channel of the system's package lineup.
HD GAMES: The package also offers up to 12 games each week in high definition. HD availability varies by system.
NBA LEAGUE PASS runs until the last day of the regular season, April 14, 2010. More information about NBA LEAGUE PASS and game schedules is available at www.getbasketball.com or www.nba.com. Residential customers as well as commercial establishments can order by calling 1-888-SPORTS-iN or their local cable provider. Blackout and other restrictions apply.
Among the cable MSOs offering the package distributed by iN DEMAND Networks this year are: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Cox Communications, and Bright House Networks, plus a number of independent MSOs.
