FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, U.S. TELEVISION WILL SHOW
U.S. WOMEN'S SOCCER IN INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
2013 Algarve Cup to Air on Cable Pay-Per-View Live from Portugal from March 6-13
New York, Feb 27 - For the first time ever, the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team's appearance in the prestigious international women's soccer tournament, the 2013 Algarve Cup, will be televised in the United States. All four matches of the U.S. team will air LIVE from Portugal on most major and independent cable systems in the U.S. and Caribbean on Pay-Per-View (PPV), March 6, 8, 11 and 13.
The Algarve Cup ranks in world importance in women's soccer just behind the World Cup and the Olympics.
Each game can be ordered individually on a Pay-Per-View basis (schedule below). Each is $14.99 SRP***. Games are available in both SD and HD. For further information, go to www.indemand.com/events.
Following is the schedule of events - All matches will air LIVE. All times Eastern:
March 6th - USA vs. Iceland - 9 am ET
March 8th - USA vs. China - 9 am ET
March 11th - USA vs. Sweden - 10 am ET
March 13th - Placement match - 9 am or 1pm (NOTE: The time for the playoff match on March 13 will depend on who their opponent is, and will be announced on March 11th.)
The Algarve Cup is distributed to U.S. cable systems by iN DEMAND L.L.C., www.indemand.com. The tournament is licensed in the USA by Integrated Sports Media.
