HOWARD TV ON DEMAND CREATES HOWARD STERN INTERACTIVE TIMELINE CALLING FOR COMMUNITY OF DEVOTED FANS TO POST THEIR OWN FAVORITE MEMORIES ON WWW.HOWARDTV.COM/TIMELINE
New York, October 16 - In 1977, radio neophyte Howard Stern landed his first job on commercial radio. The rest is history. Howard TV On Demand now invites fans of "The Howard Stern Show" to participate as a community in a newly developed interactive timeline that spans his extensive career. The timeline at www.howardtv.com/timeline spans the entire history of "the king of all media." Plus, longtime listeners can add their own favorite memories. The multifaceted timeline has photos, videos, a flipbook and comment fields.
The timeline is the lynchpin of Howard TV On Demand's marketing initiatives and encourages fans to contribute content as well as share it on their Facebook and MySpace pages or on their blogs via an embeddable widget. The timeline micro-site also features a retrospective video that condenses the first two years of Howard TV's wildest moments into two minutes.
"Howard is an American icon and now fans can join together to celebrate their favorite Stern show moments," said Howard TV Executive Producer Doug Z. Goodstein. "We've already included a few of our favorite milestones. We can't wait to read the colorful, intriguing submissions from his fans."
The timeline begins with the births of all principal cast members and runs through September 2008 with the premiere of Howard TV's original series Beat the Booey starring Stern producer Gary Dell'Abate. Highlighted days include Howard's last day on terrestrial radio (December 16, 2005); Howard's New York state gubernatorial run (March 23, 1994); the crowning of the first Miss Howard Stern (December 1, 1993) and Howard Stern's "Private's Parts" movie premiere (March 7, 1997). Celebrities featured on the timeline include Tina Fey, Sarah Silverman, Elton John, Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy and Jenna Jameson.
