Position: Distribution Coordinator
Reports To: Manager, VOD Product Management
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pitching of all Free Content (FOD), Event Content (EOD), Subscription Content (SVOD), Hotel, Library Movie and Adult On Demand (AOD) assets for Video on Demand Distribution
• Pitching content to MSOs throughout the day
• Prioritizing the queue daily
• Manage New Jersey and Denver Storage Arrays
• Troubleshooting
o Title troubles
o Technical issues
• Manage end-to-end Free On Demand delivery process
• Manage Metadata Updates that need to pitch to Comcast, potentially on a daily basis.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the queue daily. Prioritize what content pitches out. Coordinate daily with the person pitching MOD, STERN, TMFTV content to make sure content pitching is prioritized correctly.
• Manage all Re-pitch requests from sites and track pitch status and title trouble for any problem titles.
• Manage content on the storage array to make sure it does not fill up preventing the propagation of new assets. Keep array at 80% full or less. Work with the person pitching MOD, STERN, TMFTV content to clean out drive during problem times. Track space and make sure it does not fill up on internal drives in the office as well.
• Serve as the backup pitcher for the MOD, STERN, TMFTV schedules when that person is not available.
• Troubleshoot problem packages.
• Manage pitching of content Free Content (FOD), Subscription Content (SVOD), Hotel, Library Movie, Adult On Demand (AOD) assets for Video On Demand distribution.
• Track issues where content won’t pitch on time (at least 7 days prior to start date) and notify internal team of any titles with issues.
• In managing the pitching of Adult content, coordinate AOD process, working with suppliers as needed. Contact the QC team as needed.
• Manage the Metadata Update process, ensuring that Comcast receives all MDUs on schedule.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree, preferably in related fields – film, computer technology, library management, etc
• Minimum two years Corporate office experience
• Experience with mpeg analysis and xml file date generation
• Some media source material knowledge
