What is iN DEMAND?
iN DEMAND L.L.C. is the pioneer and leading distributor of exciting transactional, subscription and free on demand entertainment delivered to cable and telco systems around the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. We acquire programming from a wide range of suppliers, prepare it to be televised, and then deliver it to our cable and telco partners so that you can have it at your fingertips. We bring you movies from all the major and many independent movie studios, professional sports packages, boxing, mixed martial arts such as UFC, wrestling events and a range of other popular programming such as Howard Stern's Howard TV On Demand and Too Much For TV. We use television's most innovative technologies to deliver content in SD, HD and 3D. You can find it on linear pay-per-view, video on demand or digital platforms. When you order any movies, sports or events supplied by iN DEMAND, you will order them directly from your cable or telco system and generally be billed by them. However, much information about the programming currently playing can be found on this website including previews, schedules and trailers. You'll also find links to your own video provider's website.
Can I get any other information on social media?
Certainly! We hope you will "Like" us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/moviesondemand) or follow us on Twitter (@indemandnetwrks) to be kept up to date on all the premieres of movies and events. You can also visit the Howard TV On Demand pages: www.howard.tv or join thousands of Howard Stern fans at http://www.facebook.com/HowardTV.
What is the difference between In Demand and On Demand?
iN DEMAND is the NAME of our company, which delivers entertainment to cable TV's Pay-Per-View, Video On Demand and digital platforms. On Demand (Video On Demand or VOD) is the generic name of the technology that allows digital cable viewers to order movies, and other premium or free programming any time of the day or night using only their cable remote. They can control it like a DVD, with fast-forward, rewind and pause functionality. iN DEMAND launched one of the first video on demand services, Movies On Demand (MOD), in 2001.
What is the difference between Pay-Per-View and Video On Demand?
Video On Demand (VOD) is programming that can be ordered at any time, whenever you want. Pay-Per-View is a scheduled telecast with a specific start time, and is often the technology used for live events such as UFC, boxing or sporting events. Movies and other programming can also be found on a scheduled – or linear – channel. You'll find these on your cable systems listed as "iN DEMAND 1-9."
What is the difference between Video on Demand and Movies on Demand?
Video On Demand (VOD) is a general term for any content you can order whenever you want. Movies On Demand (MOD) refers to simply movies. The cable industry started using the term "Movies On Demand On Cable" nationally last year. The latest releases currently available on MOD are listed here: http://www.indemand.com/movies/.
How do I order content supplied by iN DEMAND?
Ordering methods vary slightly, but it is extremely simple. Generally, you can order just by finding the listing on your on-screen guide and then ordering by clicking your cable remote. Some sports packages or other content require an order by telephone. You may have an "On Demand" button on your remote that takes you right to the available programming. Sports content such as the out-of-market pro sports packages or events such as the UFC are located on a different channel (iN DEMAND 1-9). Check your onscreen guide or call your local cable company for more information about their On Demand and Pay-Per-View ordering process.
How do I find out when specific movies are offered?
Click on Movies in the navigation bar on this website. A complete, alphabetical monthly listing is available for current and upcoming titles approximately one month in advance.
Where can I inquire about employment?
Current openings can be found in the Jobs section
Is iN DEMAND available via a satellite provider?
iN DEMAND does not currently supply programming to satellite providers. We are a partnership between several of the top cable system operators. We acquire, prepare and deliver programming to our owners as well as many other cable and telco affiliates in North America and the Caribbean.
How much does my movie or event cost?
You'll generally find the pricing for movies or sporting events you want to view listed right on your on-screen guide. Sometimes there is a number listed to call the system. Pricing for movies and events is determined by your local cable system, not iN DEMAND.
Is there any way we can order movies online through you?
Many cable operators offer access to movies and other programming online. Check out these sites for example:
Comcast’s Xfinity TV: http://xfinitytvstore.comcast.net/movies/
Time Warner Cable's Roadrunner online store: http://videostore.rr.com/
Are you going to offer 3D CONTENT?
3D content, including some Hollywood movies, is already available on many systems. iN DEMAND is also currently producing entertaining and visually stunning original 3D TV content that can be experienced for free. More content will be added on an ongoing basis. Look for 3D programs in your Video On Demand, Movies On Demand, Free On Demand or 3D folders on your system. You must have a 3D capable TV set with compatible 3D glasses to see this properly.
What should I do if I ordered a movie or event and it won't play or it was the wrong movie? If I move and switch cable companies, how can I transfer my service? Can you tell me more about a specific item on my bill? I don't recognize the program name. There's a Pay Per View item on my bill that I did not order. Can I get a refund?
What should I do if I ordered a movie or event and it won't play or it was the wrong movie?
Since iN DEMAND does not control the delivery of programming to your home, you will have to call your local cable or telco company to have these kinds of problems corrected.
If I move and switch cable companies, how can I transfer my service?
iN DEMAND is a third-party that distributes content to your cable or telco operator. We don't have anything to do with billing or credits. You must call your local service provider to ask about this.
If I miss a UFC or WWE event, is there another opportunity to see it?
Yes, there are several ways. UFC and WWE replays are available to order On Demand (check your event VOD channels. Replays are generally listed under Events On Demand or similar category titles) starting the next day and generally remain available for several weeks, in HD when available. Also, on PPV, these events are generally replayed several times during the week following the event. These are found on either iN DEMAND 1, 2, 3 or the HD PPV channels.
